disable root login MariaDB without password

Hello. I installed MariaDB 10.4 in my server. when i try to login into MySQL, i can login into mysql without password or wrong password. i check some solutions in other sites, but still my problem exist.

i installed many MariaDB/MySQL in my servers before this installation. none of them has this problem. whats new in this version that i can login without password to my MariaDB? my os is CentOS 8. please help me

run "mysql_secure_installation" from the commandline to secure the mysql server installation. It will ask you to set a root password. After that you won't be able to login without a password.
