Don't use Mobile Phones



Yeah sure I agree they are tracking devices but in this day an age it's not possible to live without one anymore because without one your making life 200% more complicated and difficult for yourself.

That's because people are use to facebook and other BS, one can live without these things just fine and even have a better life as a result.

I would happily smash my phone with a hammer but would not achieve anything because you can't avoid being close to other people who use phones, so your conversation would be recorded even if you're not using a phone yourself.

The best defense is to not to talk about what you don't want to be heard but you see the problem here? where is your freedom to freely talk?

No I'm talking about being able to message with family more easily that lives in a different country and friends that live in a different country, being able to make a picture of meaningful moments and memories. Being able to listen to music or watch a movie on my phone while I'm traveling to and from work without needing to carry an extra device for each thing. Being able to my banking on my phone without having to login into a computer to check on something or transfer funds from one account to another. Having apps where you can use to meet other people etc, I am not talking about Facebook.

People have lived just fine for thousands of years without this, what you outlined belongs to some last 3 decades only which is less than 0.0000001% of human history.

Even most of us have lived our lives without this some 20-30 yrs. ago and had no problem without it until it become a thing.
It's just all in modern people heads.

You can do all this on PC, there is no need for a phone, the point is that phones are bad, not that computers are bad.

Yeah sure. But it's easier to keep contact with someone in another country by using phone chat apps because that's just more direct than writing an email or logging into MSN to chat because you don't have to sit behind a desk for it. Most people don't have time to sit by their pc anymore in the modern world and when they do it's for actual work but have their phones on them all day. That way I can still keep up with family I have living in the US. You can say what you want but without mobile phones I would have lost contact with my sister quite a few years ago or rarely been able to talk to her to see how she's doing because she has a busy job where she barley has any time free time and when she does she needs to get other shit than rather than sitting behind a computer.

Family and friends are life. So it's good that we can use phone chat apps to keep more direct contact with them in a day and age where everyone has such busy lives and in some situations live in different countries than us. Also if everything wasn't so expensive life wouldn't have to exist of everyone having to work 80% of their week time, life was a lot cheaper 30 years ago, houses were affordable and a family could live off of the income of one person. Now it's near impossible to buy a house. The slave situation was also caused by everything becoming so expensive and now everyone living to work instead of working to live.

The chart in that article explains this well, in short modern people are simply stupid and I'm not alone in this opinion, it has become obvious.

Cause and effect. If life hadn't become so expensive for 99% of the population than there wouldn't have been the extreme need for new technology to make life a bit easier or lessen the load of your daily life with the busy work week everyone has and companies wouldn't have made so much money off of selling products and solutions to make life easier.

That's why I am saying it's nice to have phones since it's easier to stay in contact with everyone who has such busy lives living to to work in order to pay the bills. I am not saying I am happy about having to have a tracking device on me 247, it's the price we pay for wanting to make life a bit easier and being able to still stay in contact with people that are important to us who are busy as well. On the other hand I hope all social media dies because that has more a negative effect on society than it does a positive effect.

To add to that sure, there's more to the story but trying to staying mostly on topic and it's impossible to discuss it all in one topic because there's many different areas involved why we are where we are with society.

Richard Stallman in the video says that tracking on someones conversation should be a crime unless it's approved by the court and he's absolutely right.

I'm pretty sure in the next 100 years his video will be marked as "conspiracy" because that's the word which the elite has introduced to curb down on speech against them. (similar to how "terrorism" was invented)

Both terms are invented and serve only the elite to deal with those who are against their money grabbing scheme.

Since I retired, We are quite happy without one, I have over the last 5 yeas closed several accounts as they now insist on a mobile phone number, I am not stupid enough to trust my banking [or details]to a ""Smartphone"" and never will,
 
I am the last of the Mohicans, Yes I still don't have a smart phone, but I have got frustrated many times because of that choice. Many times I have to run home to receive an email or waiting in public places for long without having anything to do and be jealous of other people on their phones... But then I think they are like that either waiting or not.

I hate that device, it is rigged and I have to pay for it, to be a subject of surveillance... This is wrong, can't be the future this, people progress no? I want to believe that we are living in the infancy of a digital age and lots of wrong doings by corporations and states will be fixed in the future, and future people will laugh with us and our time

Soon I will be asking for suggestions on smartphones here, I can't delay it any longer, it is causing me frustration

I very rarely use my cell phone I have it mostly for emergencies owned it since 2014 never bought a new one has Android 6 - the only person I ever call on it is the Misses most new apps don't even work it have to go to https://www.apkmirror.com/ and hopefully find one there
 
Like any electronic device that's capable of communication over air waves or wire for that matter caution and sensible user habits is a must.

I hate cell phones although they are convenient when you are out and about.

Everything electronic seems to be collecting everything that is being do where it's involved.

Is your TV connected to any streaming source via WIFI / Bluetooth / Ethernet cable / Coaxial cable thing about what they are collecting.

I'll take my chances.
 
I think phones are incredibly useful tools, but using mainstream companies like Apple or Google for your device is certainly not a good idea. I think all a phone needs is a messaging app, a phone app and maybe a web browser (also a music player is nice). I am definitely plan on switching to a dumb phone in the future, but I still think it sucks that it's either all or essentially nothing on the mobile device front. So essentially, yeah don't use Apple, Samsung, Google, Huawei, etc.

Perhaps we can actually "Have our cake , and eat it too "

I used LineageOS without Gapps for two years. The thing that made me go back to normal Android was that I ran into the some apps not working correctly without Google framework. The opensource framework that comes with LineageOS without gapps doesn't work correctly with all apps making some apps not fully functional, the same problem will be with GrapheneOS since I've heard it's even more private than LineageOS.
