DOS on Linux

Hi,
I am currently using a program (500KB) on DOS.
The developer updated it making it 720KB so it breaches the 640KB limit of DOS.
We tried to run the 720KB program on MS-DOS of Windows XP and it worked perfectly without any modifications or configurations.
Can somebody teach me how to run the program on linux system?
I have zero experience on linux.

You might have tried running Linux at first... Anyway, you will be able to run that piece of software on some DOS emulator, most likely. I don't know of DOS software I can't run on Linux.

Its very hard for us you give you much information as we have no idea about the program's dependencies, hows its built, etc. But Yesyesloud is correct that you will need to run it through a DOS emulator of some kind on a virtual machine unless the program is re-built/compiled and modified to work with Linux.

Is there a reason you need to run it on Linux? You mention it worked perfectly on MS-DOS Win XP are you guys migrating systems or something?

This is easy. Use Dosbox or DOSemu on a desired Linux system. Alternately, you could try installing WINE on a Linux system and then install DOS on WINE.

These links may help -

Or, install Oracle's Virtualbox on Linux and install Windows inside of it.

I think the simplest solution is to install DOSemu. You fire it off via command line, which you can likely automate via a script run out of an application launcher. You can even set it up as a live-boot thumbdrive. Stick it into any compatible system, boot and you're running.
