Was thinking about using emulationstation and it requires you to have "snap" but snap requires you to remove "/etc/apt/preferences.d/nosnap.pref" What is nosnap.pref and do i need it?
i tried retroarch but it was stuttering bad on all cores and all games. (refresh rate set 60 Hertz)

I'm pretty sure that's Mint's anti-snap protection. Though I recall reading that the folks behind Mint were warming up to Snap apps, they didn't like them at first and blocked them. I never bothered looking into how - but that's probably what that file is. Removing it would probably be the first step to installing Snaps. You'd still likely have to install the rest of it.

Hmm... Yeah...
