Hello,
I extended my virtual Disk to 800G (sda) and i wanna extend the (sda1) from 200 to 300G without deleting and recreate it because i have vgs pvs and data on it ? How can i do that ?
Kind regards,
What @Alexzee means is that since you are running RHEL you are also paying for a RHEL subscription which allows you to contact their support for anything you run into, so why not make them work for their money. Read the post before that
You must have a developer subscription then?
Your disk(sdc) is 800G, it has one partition of 500G, you have a volume group with then name of datavg, and within that volume group you have a logical volume which is 150G with the name of pgpetsrvdata_lv. So you want to extend your logical volume from 150G to 450G from what I understand, is that correct? If so:
That is not the output of the command vgs, could you please share all of the output of that command here as well as all of the output of the lsblk command because I want to see the overview of all of your disks and partioning not only the data volume group and volume, this way I know what your disk setup looks like so that I can actually help you figure this out.
Yes that's how it's done. I'm not able to guess your disk and partitioning setup that's why I was asking you for that information. Glad that helped you figure out how to do the rest yourself.
