I have linux mint on my laptop and have recently made a home pc desktop linux mint as well. I am new to this field and do not know what to search for such a question...
1) I would like to configure my home pc desktop in such a way that everything I save to my laptop will also save to my home desktop remotely. I have looked into nfs, home server, media server, remote desktop, etc. However, I am not sure what would best suit my needs. For example, if I am working on a mathematica code and I save a file to my laptop, I would like for it to save to my home desktop so that I can pick up where I left off on my home pc.
2) I would also like for it to work the other way around in that, creating a folder on my home desktop where I can share the files in this folder to my laptop remotely.
Are these possible to do if on different internet connections? I know this is a loaded question, just some general suggestions of what to search given what I want to be able to do would be nice!
