This all started when I started using my newly purchased 1tb External Hard Drive. There doesn't seem to be anything bad in it but it's been causing my "Home" folder to Lock up not letting me add folders or files which has been leading me to the BusyBox Error Boot Screen. This happened in 18.10 several times & a few times in 18.04. I did a reinstall today & so far things have been fine mainly cause I'm not using the External Drive. I even formatted it to work for the Linux System & that did no good either. How am I to prevent further lockups of my folders so I won't get the BusyBox Screen?

G'day Eddie Paul

What's the output of

Code:
dmesg | grep sdx

# where x represents your external HDD when it is plugged in

Cheers

I got nothing when I put in that code

1. Was that before you bought the external HDD?

2. Plug in the drive and run this command and give us the exact output:

Code:
sudo blkid
