Your not on Cinnamon 6.4 yet it's coming. It will have the night light , but I don't know when LMDE will get it. May be awhile. In the meantime redshift will still work but you have to enter your Lat and Long manually.

The writer of the linked article uses the word "modern" a lot (#2 in his list). I cringe when I see that word in a computing context because it usually means dumbed down and ugly looking. However I have read on another forum that the rounded corners do have a practical use, something about making stacked windows easier to see or something like that, which the author of the article failed to mention in his zeal for "looking modern."
