Reasons not to use ChatGPT​

ChatGPT is not "intelligence", so please don't call it "AI".
I define "intelligence" as being capable of knowing or understanding,at least within some domain. ChatGPT cannot know or understandanything, so it is not intelligence. It does not know what itsoutput means. It has no idea that words can mean anything.

I call it a "bullshit generator"because it generates output "with indifference to the truth".

The same applies to many other "generative systems", for the samereasons

The widespread public error of attributing intelligence to thosesystems leads millions of people to a misplaced trust for them.Please join me in spreading the word that people should not trustsystems that mindlessly play with words to be correct in what thosewords mean.

Absolutely spot on. My question is how can a box full of wires and bits of silicone know anything, it is all artificial with no biological parts. And when it comes to intelligence what does that really mean? Is IQ a measure of intelligence or just giving an arbitrary number to how difficult the puzzles you are able to solve?

I should have been more specific as to what changes I'd like to see, but the "slideshow" would be one place to start-as for improvements. When I had Mint 19.1, I could have a ton of images in a folder for a slideshow if I'm not doing anything. It would run fairly quickly as each lasted about 5-6 seconds each. Now with Cinnamon, it's much slower. Like about a minute each image. Would hope to see an increase in speed with this. There are a few other things, but Ill save those for later rant.

when you set up the slideshow the default is 15 minutes between pictures, this can be reduced or increased minimum is 1 minute between pictures in backgrounds
