Welcome @super_user_do to the forum!
I read somewhere that Linux is not hard to learn. The problem is that it is so vast.
I think that came from William Shotts in his book about the command line.
It will be a life-long journey for those interested, as there are always some new things to learn.
One of the great things about Linux is that you can pick and choose to learn whatever topic is of interest to you.
A few years ago I decided to spend some time learning a little bit about C Programming. After that I spent more time to see what Scripting is like. I am not a programmer but am a little familiar with the terminology, enough to read simple programs' source code.
I'm 87 years old and will continue on my Linux journey as long as I can still read and use a computers.
Enjoy your Linux ride, my friend!

Italy is beautiful but ran by awful people unfortunately

Be careful. We have a strict no-politics rule. It keeps the site sane and is a pretty good rule.

Nothing wrong with being a noob as long as your having fun. Yes many forums are disappearing as people go for new options such as the Cup of Linux crowd have. Personally the "forum" still has a place as it is easily accessible to everyone and old threads can be accessed for answers to users problems that have been experienced by others.

Personally don't use mumble, matrix etc. Prefer forum format - long live this forum. Welcome aboard.

For everything regarding community support and discussions, forums are far superior, even than reddit. We NEED forums and I dont understand why are people moving to discord to replace Forums.

Discord is a Chat and it is a chat and we have to keep it what it is. A Forum is still a Forum and it cant be replaced with anything, neither discord or reddit

Agreed and you can't look up discord for old info that is still relevant to a problem you have. Apart from the fact I am old and stuff like discord is a little beyond me and don't really want to learn about it.

Ciao! Come va?:) I was fortunate enough to have lived in Catania province in Sicily for a total of 5 years. It was an interesting experience. (1985, 1986, 1989, 1990, 1991)

I have been there 3 times, the last is only a gateway to Croatia (flying to Venice is cheaper
for me than to Dubrovnic !).
Positano, Cinq Terres ... oh, boy !
I still want to come back for more, if my age permits me.
