Hehehe... I still have 5 and 3 inch Floppies with DOS on them. Still have some PC's with the drives. And an 8086 MB with 640k ram. Ran at a speedy 12 mhz.....

post HP printers are top notch and have a lot of Linux driver support from HP.
That I can vouch for as well as I had to finally hook up my HP Deskjet 150. Though I had to run Dr HP to check up on the printer since it had not been used for a year or more and it only runs on MS not Linux but I left them know in the survey it would be nice if they aimed Dr HP at Linux as well. This is a reason that I still have MS on my laptop as I require it to monitor my Linux based router as well. It is just the way Mikrotek set it up the router.
 
Mint is a pretty decent distribution, as is Zorin and if you do enjoy things that look like WIndows you'll likely enjoy Kubuntu :)
