I've been gone for a while, and actually made tons of progress on some projects of mine!
I've also gotten rid of Windows entirely a few months ago, and am now using Fedora Silverblue without any issue, using Distrobox to access other Linux distributions and anything that I would normally layer.
Here are some FOSS projects I've been helping with lately:
https://usebottles.com -- I've been using this instead of Lutris for multiple weeks now, and have even contributed some fixes for things like its components repo and typo fixes.
https://getcryst.al -- This was the Linux distribution I was thinking of all that time ago, where I wanted something Arch-based and easy to use! It also uses a fast package manager written in Rust, called Amethyst. It's performance is comparable to that of other package managers like Paru, since it builds packages in parallel. https://social.tar.black/@oro/109016366510347772
https://flatpak.org/ -- I've been using this for most of my applications, such as Firefox, as they update separately from my OS (so updates come in faster) and I can get support directly from upstream developers. I also now maintain a few flatpaks for Flathub!
https://inochi2d.com -- I've always been interested in vtubing and how it functions, and now I can help out with bug testing an open source 2D vtuber format/software and learn a new programming language (D-lang) while I'm at it!
