Is there a way to get rid of this thing that appears when the image is zoomed in? I'm using Ubuntu 19.10

Doesn't this show the area of the picture you are looking at? Can't you use it to scroll down the picture?

I assume that is a game screen...?

Does the game have a "preferences" area or "settings"....?

I just installed Gwenview.....grabbed an image from my collection....

I cannot reproduce what you have....although I did click on 'Thumbnail Bar" down in the bottom left hand corner, and it produced an altered screen with that little box present...but then the little box simply disappeared of its own volition.

I'll be back here to explain shortly, just attending to the OP's other Thread.

I've compiled a short video to show the glitch.

On the face of it, it cannot be eliminated within Gwenview itself, although I expect that there is a config file somewhere where either an option can be applied at startup, or a line changed from true to false and saved.

Haven't the time to look into that right now.

Cheers
