Many websites use WordPress to setup and manage the site. WordPress is able to gain more features via plugins. Obviously, WordPress users will want to get some helpful plugins for their website. This article will discuss some useful plugins (in my opinion).
Counterize
Counterize is a statistics plugin that tracks various data and presents it to the admin. With Counterize, users can see what browsers their visitors use as well as the country they are from and how they got to the website. This plugin also has other features and data that it tracks. The statistics can also be presented publicly via the BBCodes.

WP-Pro-Quiz
WP-Pro-Quiz provides an interface for creating and presenting quizzes. Admins can create quizzes which can be used for games, tests, practice, learning, or samples. Many options are available such as leaderboards, answer explanations, shuffled questions, etc. An actively running instance of WP-Pro-Quiz can be found at http://dcjtech.info/quizzes/filesystem-quizzes/ and a leaderboard at http://dcjtech.info/quizzes/leaderboards/.
Ban Hammer
Ban Hammer provides a way to ban certain email domains from registering on your website. Just list the undesired email address domains (like "@mail.ru").

Stop Spammers
Stop Spammers is another spam-blocking plugin that many users may want to use alongside "Ban Hammer". "Stop Spammers" blocks by user agent, phrases in email addresses, and IP address. The plugin can also scan for threats (similar to a virus scanner).

WP-Ban
Because spammers are clever and always finding ways around anti-spam tools, it may help to have a third anti-spam tool. WP-Ban is another anti-spam tool that blocks by IP address, email address domain, user agent, and hostname.

Sock'Em SPAMbots
"Sock'Em SPAMbots" is yet another anti-spam tool that may help prevent some spam. This plugin offers ways to identify spambots and then stop them. For instance, if a bot adds info to an invisible text field, then the "user" is a spambot because real users cannot see the invisible fields.

WP Spam Fighter
Sometimes, four anti-spam tools is not enough, so their is another plugin that I recommend called "WP Spam Fighter". This works similar to "Sock'Em SPAMbots".

This plugin provides a way to see how many time a topic in a forum was viewed.
