Here is a distro I saw for 486 class machines and pentiums

Recently I discovered PUPNGO LInux which is based on PUPPY 4.12 and uses very simple apps and is suitable for running on 386, 486 machines who aren't worried about flash etc and use it as a building block.

XVESA and basic Xorg versions available.

The reason I mention this is that there have been many people with laptops around these specs that need something like this in various threads in these forums.

The interesting thing about this distro is to make programs installed have their deps linked independently from the rest of the system statically instead of say one set of glibc libraries for example allowing later software to run on an old system with an old kernel.
