How do I play Windows Games on Linux/Ubuntu?

I've been trying for about 4 days now and I can't play my games. Wine will not work for me. I cannot figure anything else out.

Your question is a bit general - can you go into detail about which games you're looking to play? I believe a lot of people use steam to get things going, but depends on your answer.

I use Manjaro personally and using Proton with Steam has worked very well for me so far. My Windows games run smoothly and the cloud saving works properly. In terms of non-Steam games another option you have is Wine which can run exe files.
