How do I stop Pressure Vessel (part of Steam) from showing up in my Discord status?

Discord on Linux has this absolutely terrible habit of picking up on random background apps and displaying them as games, and also for some reason displaying literal executable names instead of the actual window title or friendly name. Of course, since I have Steam installed, Steam's background services have a bad habit of showing up in discord and it prevents my other statuses from displaying properly. When I actually do try to play a game, or listen to music, it just says pressure-vessel-launcher. And if I'm away from my computer and not doing anything, it still says it. Discord won't let me blacklist it, and I can't remove it because the X next to it under Settings > Game Activity won't appear while the thing is still running.

You could try going to Settings -> Connections, then uncheck "Automatically detect accounts from other platforms on this computer." and under Game Activity you could try unchecking "Display current running game as a status message"

I want to keep game activity enabled so when I'm playing Quake or etc. it shows my friends and they can join

"detect accounts from other platforms" Simply means that Discord will read your browser settings and automatically link itself to Spotify, Reddit, or others. That has nothing to do with this issue.

Yeah you are right now that I think about it having read it again, still waking up since it's still early here. I would say not a Linux issue, I would contact Discord support and ask them since they support Linux. Since those are the only settings you can change, it being proprietary software there's not much else you can change than those settings.
