How do u make arch linux work ?

Hi I try to use arch linux but is so hard and i ask linux.org community to help me what I could do that is could be easy for me and no errors on system!

I guess the trick is to get it installed and set up right in the beginning ; once your past that hurdle its plain sailing .


Another route is to go for EndeavourOS which is probably about 1% or so shy of being vanilla Arch

Well I tried arch linux official website instruction guide I will try to use the link also I founded a guy who used something to do in arch linux to "create u own os!" using some links from github git

there u go I want to know if is good because I would like to try that too!

In order for you to understand the Official Arch installation guide to install Arch you need to either understand all the components mentioned or you need to follow the links at each steps where that topic is further explained on other archwiki pages. Even if you understand all the components you need it's impossible to remember it all so you will have to look things up at times even when experienced. In short if you can read and take the time to learn you will be able to install Arch otherwise you are better of installing an Arch-based distribution such as EndeavourOS.

My recommendation would be to try something like Manjaro or EndeavourOS first. The installation is easier and it gets you up and running in no time. Once you get used to Linux, then you could try and use something like Arch.

However, if you do enjoy playing around and just want to learn Linux, then Arch can be very fun project. The goal is to not put yourself in a situation where you feel like leaving because you dont understand something. With that said, if you want to learn Linux in general, take a look here https://linuxjourney.com/ and of course if Arch is what you're really interested in, Arch Wiki is pretty good (https://wiki.archlinux.org/).

Well update garuda linux is so cool Is like ubuntu but I like pacman commanda because u dont need to download and downlod manually

you can also install pkgs from AUR using : sudo pacman -U <pkg.zst>


thats after getting PKGBUILD file and running makepkg -s on it

does garuda use any none vanilla Arch repo to your knowledge ?

well I not using garuda anymore I try now right no to install arch linux but I dont the shortcut for select help pleasee

well I use archfi and I dont know to check the box from drivers etc.

all i remember is that to get back into archfi script , type "archfi" and out ctl +c

So really you need a pen and paper , find out your graphic card etc before you start , amd cpu or intel
which Desktop are you going for .I worked my way through the Arch wiki and other sites , assimilated it then went for install .

I tried all the installers and just found it easier to get vanilla Arch iso and do it manually

My Question to the Arch ISO package:the package hase a Size of 800-900mb?i think at First glance it's a Bit small compared to others!
