A rather interesting choice for a Linux distro, especially for customization. I hope you enjoy it! What installation method will you be using? The two most popular are live USB and on the hard disk, I doubt Mac would support anything else anyways.

Kali is not a distro for beginners. Learn to use Linux, then turn to Kali.
