Hi Guys given up on the Thinkpad for now so trying to get this HP machine running - want to run linux on it.
The back of the laptop says BCM943142Y so should I use realtek driver with it or Broadcom?

BCM = Broadcom should work with kernel drivers

Hi Wiz and other members,

Just an update I have managed to get Bionic Puppy to work on it. I had to blacklist the following in /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf the following
blacklist b43
blacklist bcma
blacklist brcmsmac
blacklist ssb
then install forulm member Ozsouth's wl bionic update for that kernel. Took member a few hours to get it right as I have never had to blacklist modules before.

Thanks to all
