Does this help me get onto Telegram? I can't see how. Please elaborate!
No server, no metadata, no ID or phone number! With it, users are only identified via public keys. By sharing the key to others, they can send request to add you into contact list and then start chatting.
Well, there are plenty of articles and videos promoting workarounds, so what the Terms and Conditions statement says isn't really the point. My issue is that all that I have attempted hasn't worked! That's agains their T&C and their registeration process, so I guess you won't have luck.
I can helpI have been trying for two years with no success. I have a laptop which I can connect to the Internet via free wifi when I visit public libraries etc.
I have been attempting to follow various instructions which I have found on the web as well as YouTube videos, including connecting with sites where I can receive SMS messages to a free phone number that can be viewed on a web page (such as https://freephonenum.com/ and https://www.receivesms.org/), but I never receive the login code when I request it from the Telegram Linux desktop app. The only thing I can figure is that it assumes I am already registered. But I only see options to "log in", none to "register" or "sign up".
I'm pretty much at my wits end, so please help if you know something that can get me going on Telegram!
