i3 display manager

Hello!
I have been using the i3, and I never had a login Manager. I have a long time is the idea and small but perky concept on creation of the i3 display manager. Stops me a very poor knowledge of C++. But, I think that if we take as basis the gdm and use curses is possible to achieve much. How do you feel about this idea? It is to contrive or only to me it should be?

There are already display managers that can be used with i3 and the like. I see no reason to make a new one.

Even those with curses. There are NCDM, written in Python with ncurses, and twin, which is a whole tty environment. Both are not actively developed though.

Okay, if nobody needs, then why should I waste it on this if only I need.
