Hello everyone,
My name is Ivan and I have a little problem. Can someone help me with the installation of the printer, to which I connect via a wireless network? Removed the previous version of HPLIP completely. I have a new HP Deskjet 2710 printer and I downloaded and installed HPLIP 3.20.11. The problem is that HPLIP does not see my printer over the network. For example, my windows computer sees it. Connecting via USB is out of the question because the printer is in another room. Is there any way to add a printer via its IP address? I tried to ping the IP address of the printer and the linux computer sees the printer.

G'day Ivan :)

Not a printer expert, but for the aid of others, which version of Mint are you using (eg 20 'Ulyana') and DE (desktop environment, eg Xfce, Cinnamon or MATE)?

Did you verify that the HPLiP is indeed the correct one and its contents are valid ?

THIS PAGE shows you how to do that. The instructions there apply to all Linux Mint distros

HP provides support for LINUX printing at :https://launchpad.net/hplip.

What Device Discovery option did you check during driver installation?
Network/Ethernet/Wireless
or
Wireless/802.11
