Hi Folks,
here's the result of the checksum
linuxmint-22-cinnamon-64bit.iso: OK
shasum: linuxmint-22-mate-64bit.iso: No such file or directory
linuxmint-22-mate-64bit.iso: FAILED open or read
shasum: linuxmint-22-xfce-64bit.iso: No such file or directory
linuxmint-22-xfce-64bit.iso: FAILED open or read
shasum: WARNING: 2 listed files could not be read

I assume, haha, that the only line I need worry about is the first one?

cheers!

All I can say is this....the best way I have found to take the sometime uncertainty out of the verification entanglement, is to download the .iso, via TORRENT

1. You do not need to be behind a vpn. .iso downloaders are left alone. You are not doing something illegal.
2. All downloads on a decent torrent client (eg Qbittorrent) are automatically checked for interference/corruption
3. Usually, the download is quicker (just an extra plus)

Thanks. Stuck with the familiar route since I've never used torrent. And since I'm currently 6 years behind in my life, hahaha

doing the download by torrent...is a wake up....

When you click on torrent, 64 bit, on the web page......it will downalod a torrent file to your pc...probably in downloads or where ever you keep your downloads.

You then open the torrent client (qbittorrent etc)....and drag and drop the file into the middle of the qbitorent window....it will automatically start downloading. When it is finished......right click on the line on the qbittorrent window and select pause......or yu can just close the qbittorrent window and go to your .iso burner and select that file from downloads to use to make your bootable usb stick

Why are you 6 years behind ?

Are you running Linux Mint right now ?

Oh I'm working from a Mac. There's no OS on the PC and I just ran the live disk and it seems to be working! Stunning how snappy it is, probably all loaded into RAM

Life gets crazy sometimes :)

if it runs well in ram....it will run better/faster when fully installed
