Issue with headphones

Hi, I recently installed Ubuntu on an Asus transformer book, and my headphones are only recognized if they are plugged in when I boot. Also when they are recognized there is a crackling noise in the background. (I am very new to Linux so if you have a solution please try to be very in-depth) Thanks!

Hi , Lucky Zonkey , your linux distro is Ubuntu and you have posted on the Open Suse thread , you can get help way easier if you post on the ubuntu thread or the ubuntu forum .
