Hi, I am fairly inexperienced with Linux and servers for that matter, so any help would be greatly appreciated. I am using cPanel and recently have run across an issue with my jailshell users.

Upon logging in via ssh, I receive the following error: Could not exec shell 'bin/bash' with errno2.

To create the users, I used the following command: chsh -s /usr/local/cpanel/bin/jailshell ${username}

Thanks again in advanced.

Isn't the whole purpose of jail-shell to prevent users from access to all your commands (like bash for example)

But shouldn't the jailshell user be allowed to login via ssh and be limited to their home directory? We use this user to run a few MySQL commands. This has worked for years until recently where it has become very unreliable. Today as soon as I logged in I would receive the error above and my session is terminated.

Again, I appreciate your help and I apologize for my lack of understanding.
