Hello!
A while back I posted about an issue I had where my Dell Lat 7390 would completely freeze up during install. It would require about `10 attempts before it went through. Using the Dell and Linux forums I found a solution which was to add:
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash i915.enable_psr=0"
to the grub. This completely solved the issue for around a year. However recently after some updates (not sure which ones in particular), it's started randomly freezing up. The keyboard backlight, screen etc all stay on, but the mouse cursor sticks and requires a hard-reset. After some research I was recommended to add:
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash i915.enable_psr=0 i915.enable_dc=0 intel_idle.max_cstate=2"
This again worked for a while, but has returned as an issue. It's often when I close, or leave the laptop sitting without touching the mouse for a while.
Thanks again for any advice
