You can use most Linux OS to pay your bills on - to save passwords I recommend a password manager like KeePassXC it is in most repositories or here - https://keepassxc.org/

Some versions of Linux like Qubes OS, and Septor offer better privacy while on-line they both utilize the TOR Network, along with Tails for USB, but for banking purposes the TOR network may not be allowed a connection to your bank - your bank server sees it as TOR and does not allow that - I know my bank does not, so I would have to assume other banks as well.
You can install the same software to just about any version of Linux to make it the same as Septor or any other TOR based OS these just did the work for you

Thanks. I am trying to find out the best distro for my dad (he doesnt know how to use comptuers, not even windows, hes old like that) He needs a distro like puppy lunix or something, he cant do command prompts, he just needs a safe and secure and simple distro. For myself i find messing with these distros a fun hobby, but also am somewhat interested in cybersecurity. I really like lunix mint. If i get comfy and it can run games i will eventually go back to using lunix as my main driver instead of AtlasOs (Yes i know atlasos isnt secure at all) i was having some serious issues replacing my windows because some games (like deep rock galatic) were having a very hard time compared to on windows. considering having atlasOS and a lunix distro on my desktop to cover all intents and purposes.

Looking into Debian for myself, or a Debian based distro.

Simple or Beginner OS - I like Linux Mint, Linux Lite, Ubuntu and it's different flavors - Debian uses the command line a little more the any Ubuntu based OS, mostly for accessing root, Debian sets up two password prompts one for root the for user, where as Ubuntu based OS does not, but Debian or something based on it is good as well
