Linux Mint : SSD Reads are horribly slow

The author has never stated what inxi stands for, AFAIK. A quick search of the 'net seems to confirm this.

So, we have no idea what 'inxi' means. Even the man page is silent on the matter.

See? My shot in the dark was correct.

It really wasn't a shot in the dark so much as the first step I'd take to troubleshoot it. It was a logical place to look first before diving into harder stuff.

Does your board have any PCIe 4 slots available? You can get M.2 NVMe riser cards for not a lot of money. If you have slots that have four lanes of PCIe 4, subtract a tiny amount for latency, and you'll get speeds closer to the theoretical maximum.
I'm new to the whole mini computer arena and hate laptops so I made a bad assumption that the motherboard would be equipped like AM5 ATX motherboards. Unfortunately this has changed my view. So, yes, your shot in the dark was a bullseye. I'm replacing this with a more advanced system and that includes 2 Nvme 4 connectors. Still have to determine how many lanes it provides.

Then I shall give it a name. :) I Need X Immediately

Hmm...

Information Needed eXactly and Immdiately

I dunno... It's a handy application. As I recall, the beta version has a different name.

pinxi was the development build we tested, [the p denoted it had been re-written in pearl]

the only history I can find is inxi is a fork of infobash 3.02

Yup. That'd be it. I remembered that it had a different name - but not what that name was. I was thinking 'snxi' but that didn't sound right to me.

I think you mean sinxi which is part of the developer's web address,

Buggered if I know. All I know is that it wasn't right. ;-) At the time I knew it didn't sound right, either.
