I am currently using a 32-bit pc running on latest windows 10 os.
i just have one question that will i be able to use the latest Ubuntu version on my pc
does it makes a difference for linux for a 64-bit or a 32-bit pc

G'day KushalDube, and Welcome to linux.org

Have a read HERE

How sure are you that the pc is 32 bit ?

  • Open Settings.
  • Click on System.
  • Click on About.
  • Check the Device specifications section to find out the device name, processor, installed memory, system architecture, and if the device includes support for touch and pen.

you need an iso and basically if i'm correct if your PC is 64 bit it can handle either 64 bit or 32 bit; but if its 32 bit it can only handle 32 bit. Also I agree with @Condobloke; most PC's that have Windows 10 are most like to be 64 bit

If your processor is actually 32bit then it won't run a 64bit OS.
You can run 32bit on a 64bit machine but not visa-versa. (AFAIK)

You are correct!

To answer your question

? No.

Short-sighted and/or lazy devs do not bother with what most of the world wants -- only what is 'cost-efficient!' Hence, the latest 'butus are 64bit only. The latest 32bit 'buntu is 18.04

How's that for a straight answer?

When in doubt, run 32bit! Linux Lite is a good choice, as condobloke alludes.
And remember, Linux assumes User knows exactly what he/she is doing.

Latest Puppy Linux Eoan Focal is a mix of Focal Fossa and Ermine Eoan - a 32 bit distro.

How - simple, well not simple but Ubuntu have left enough 32bit libraries to build a 32bit Pup..

Don't know who knows about this but Arch still has a 32bit option which is here as a fork
