I've told myself to share this link a dozen times but have always ended up distracted and forgetting to do so.

I'm finally doing so.


Those are the security holes in Linux (usually fixed before they're announced due to responsible reporting). That's just the kernel.

I'm not posting this for a tit-for-tat but this is just the kernel. You have a whole lot of other applications installed. My point is, please keep your stuff updated.

Linux is open source. This makes finding bugs, including security-related bugs, easier. Many of these security holes require elevated permissions and/or someone physically at the device. That helps a great deal.
