Q4OS https://www.q4os.org/downloads1.html the one with the Trinity desktop. The System's requirements are as low as Trinity desktop - 300MHz CPU / 128MB RAM / 3GB disk
antiX https://antixlinux.com/antix-19-3-manolis-glezos-bug-fix-upgrade-isos-available/ and here http://download.tuxfamily.org/antix/docs-antiX-19/FAQ/index.html#_system_requirements says antiX should run on most computers, ranging from 192MB old PII systems with pre-configured 128MB swap to the latest powerful boxes. BTW, you didn't mention whether your system's 32 or 64 bits and just so you know both Q4OS and antiX do support 32 bits machines in case yours is.

I've used DSL before with good luck.

Just an update on the above, Mike.

That is now called Raspberry Pi OS, and prior to that it had a B - Raspbian

As do other distros!

I would suggest to look at MX Linux they still make a 32bit version

True, but RAM usage is too high now, for the OP.

There has been a RAM "creep" with the last 2 versions. I have been using MX Linux since it moved from 14 to 15, so I have observed this. Currently

Minimum System Requirements:

  • 1 GB RAM (2 GB recommended for a comfortable usage)
  • 15 GB of disk space (20 GB recommended).

:)@kranktan welcome to linux.org

You could take a look at this (November)

https://itsfoss.com/32-bit-linux-distributions/

and only look at the ones which suit your RAM.

Also from It's FOSS (FOSS is Free and Open Source Software) is a similar one

https://itsfoss.com/lightweight-linux-beginners/

also November, but scroll down and look at

antiX (pronounced antics)

It is cousin to MX Linux but has not gone through the RAM creep.

And at the bottom there are another 5 lightweights worth having a look at.
