Would this work with the LMDE 6 Linux Mint or is this deprecated at this point - trying to get my Logitech T630 Ultrathin Touch Mouse to work. So far, not so much luck with it, but just barely getting started troubleshooting with it. https://support.logi.com/hc/en-us/a...hin-Touch-Mouse-T630-Technical-Specifications
I just installed Solaar on Debian 12. It seems to work great! I have a Logitec K360 keyboard and a Logitec M325 mouse, using the same receiver. As noted above, the keyboard connected on reboot, as expected, but the mouse required an extra step (I had a USB mouse connected to facilitate the operation.)

I just had to bring up the Solaar application, and click on "Unifying Receiver". In the new window, click on "+Pair new device". It asked me to turn the mouse off and back on, and that was it. It works great and seems to eliminate the frequent mouse hesitations I used to get when using separate receivers for mouse and keyboard. Now I have a spare receiver to use with another system. :)

i don't use bluetooth keyboard/mouse because they don't work on the login screen, bluetooth doesn't work until you have fully logged into the desktop.

Just use the standard 2.4GHz wireless technology: it uses the same frequency as bluetooth, but there isn't any pairing involved, it's automatic.

My better half teases me because I have wired keyboard that has backlighting and a wired trackball mouse as well as the usb wireless keyboard with a trackpad and bluetooth mouse all going and depending on what works best for me at the moment is what is in my hands. During the daylight I tend to use the wireless more but at night when I'm not wanting the overhead light on I veer towards the wired stuff because of the back lighting. :) But yeah, at boot up I have to use the wired to log in. But once it boots up the other peripherals are recognized. It would be nice to have it do it from the boot, but it is not a deal breaker for me since I just always leave it plugged in anyway since it is myself that alternates between the wired and wireless depending on my mood. :)
