I'm looking for some good 3d icon and system themes, especially for GNOME if possible. When I mean 3d, I mean in the sort of stuff like old school MacOS interface system icons or WIndows Vista. Things that have some depth, shadows and and colorful.

Yeah, gnome-look.org is a good place for installing stuff.

I just installed a handful of cursors for my Debian 10 Buster Gnome os and they look great.
They were easy to install too.
The sweet folders are pretty easy to install too.

Oh, I have heard of AND used Gnome-Looks before. But I'm asking if anyone knows of an icon or theme pack specifically out there. I've searched up and down GL for my needs and the closest pack I've found is the Obsidian icon pack which even then doesn't live up to that sorta 3d, glassy look I want.

There's so much gunk on xfce-look and gnome-look these days and more bot reviews than human, my fave being "The best!"
I was just talking about this in another thread, but r/unixporn has some cool mods.
The -look sites need a big cleanup and some QC.

Ultimately, if you put some time in, making your own WM themes is easy, individual icons dead easy, but GTK themes are a biatch and I would never attempt my own icon pack. I download or draw icons as needed (preferably in SVG).

Look at WhiteSur icon theme it is based on Mac OSX

Agreed. There are quite a few packs and themes that are straight up patchworks of other themes or simply do not work.

Ehh, not quite. I'm not looking for an icon pack or theme that is supposed to copy MacOS or Windows, more like have that 2000s application theming that was 3d and looked glassy at times, shadows and highlights and all that.

Here in this link are 10 icon themes for Linux:

Yeah, the MacOS ones look nice, but they don't express my "theme" (an ever-revising 3-year WIP so far). I'm not a fan of OS-alike packs. Some icons are good, but most aren't my cuppa. When I have time, I plan to just download around 20 icon packs and stitch them together coz there's a major shortcoming with nice app icon packs and that's their incompleteness (why I do my own). The annoying thing about icon packs in general though, is that nice ones seem to have shite file/directory icons and decent file/directory icon packs have app icons that look like the 1990s. I'll hopefully learn enough to write GTK themes as I notice most have awful colours (too bright or too dark) and terrible widgets. Maybe I should start a Gofundme to hire a pro in each category to make the ultimate themes/icons for each, lol.
