Lost sound but not in Firefox...

Hello, I'm very new to Linux (only 3 weeks) today my laptop is not play sound for mp3 file or videos.
I have Linux Mint Cinnamon last version, I check the sound option menu I can play the test for the left and right speaker(headphone) I can also play sound from Firefox (Youtube or open mp3 file with it), but I cannot hear anything from media player or VLC.
Any idea how I can solve my problem?

What is your Audio Device set to in VLC? Mine offers a choice of 2. Make sure you have it set to the device that your speakers are connected to.
