For any Mageia users out there:

You may know that 6.1 has just been released a couple of days ago.

If you frequent Distrowatch.com as I do, there is an incorrect sha512sum recorded there.

Available there are the .isos for

All of the downloads are likely OK, but there is one (1) sha512sum which is incorrect, and that is for the 64-bit of Xfce DE. The result you get is for 6.0, not 6.1

The i586 one is OK.

So just the 64-bit in Xfce flavour.

The correct sha512sum is

I have reported the error to Mageia's Forum, and no doubt they will work to fix it with DistroWatch.

Enjoy your Linux

Regrets on taking a week to get back to this.

My Post to their Forum was here

https://forums.mageia.org/en/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=12516

... and martinw there grasped what I was talking about straight away and emailed DistroWatch.

All is good.

It should be noted that there was not ever a problem with the .iso Downloads, just that a couple of the hashsum links were to the wrong files.

Cheers and
