This one comes with some caveats, but it's basically a daemon that preloads applications and libraries into memory based on what you've done. Does it work? Well, yeah. Does it matter if you've got modern hardware - like an NVMe M.2 SSD? From what I can see, no... No, it's not really an appreciable difference from what I can tell.
I'd do the stopwatch thing, but I think there are too many variables for that. I could probably use the time command in the terminal, but I couldn't really think of a great way to do so. So, I leave it up to you, the reader, to decide...
