I did this and it worked for me:


(first login using alt+F2)
1. sudo su
2. crontab -e
3. (now type this command and then after you finished typing first do a ctrl+o then ctrl+x)

@reboot startx


4.and also make sure that cron.service is enabled if not do these:
systemctl enable cronie.service
systemctl start cronie.service
systemctl status cronie.service
