What version of Parrot are you running?

When I was running Parrot this forum was very helpful.
Make sure you answer their questions so they can help you.

Parrot is based on Debian Testing which is 'Sid unstable'.
Keep that in mind and happy building your driver.
If make keeps complaining you may have missing pkg's for the driver to build.

I knew a guy that was in Debian Testing for years and he explained to me one day that you have to be good with unmet dependencies and fixing broken packages. And knowing what didn't get upgraded the last time the system was upgraded.

If your new to Linux Parrot may not be the best choice.
Maybe give Debian stable a spin first until you get to know Debian's package management system really well.
