Easy enough to add contrib and non-free to sources list and install firmware by cable...OR...use this... http://cdimage.debian.org/cdimage/unofficial/non-free/cd-including-firmware/In the beginning, there was Debian. And it was good. But people wanted at least some non-free software, so their WiFi cards would work out of the box.
And then MX-16 came along. Based off of Debian stable branch with codecs and current software. No command line nonsense needed and everything works on the first boot up without intervention or lame excuses. Even all in one printers and WiFi works because it automatically gets set up.
