He has had 2 threads there, Brian, and little response.

@Adithyansm in the Kali Forum you should read the 1st Thread and the 3rd Thread, they are very important.

The fact of life is that installing Kali is not the way to learn pen testing, it is a way to use pen testing, if, and only if, you have several years of experience with a number of other Linux behind you.

Thank you.

Joe

I've got a troubleshooting notepad dedicated to Linux

You'll need a book, not a notepad :)

Thanks heaps for that! I've already started the course now.

That's good news and you're welcome.

I would suggest that if you have further questions on learning resources you address them in a Thread in General Linux and people will swing by. By doing that, other Members and Readers will benefit from the answers, here they won't necessarily be reading Member Introductions.

Cheers

If your questions are about something Linux concerning Kali you shouldn't be using Kali because if you are running Kali you should be able to solve your own problems or know how to find solutions for those problems. If you are talking about the tools on Kali and still want to use Kali you shouldn't start with those either until you have a basic understanding of how Linux works because a lot of the tools on Kali are command-line tools. So if you understand how to use the normal Linux command-line line tools you have will have an easier time using the Kali tools, not I am not talking about the functionality as in what they are used for.

P.S As others already have noted don't hijack someone else's topic, please create your own topic.

I run 70 Linux on this rig, from 4 of the Families
I've heard you mention this rig a few time. I'm kind of curious to see what it looks like.

Initially I was picturing...
tank-operator-matrix.jpg

Or whether it looked like a super computer, or a mac-mini or whether it was all virtual, or just installed on a single harddrive, or massive harddrive array?

And what do you use it all for?
