The error: NVIDIA-SMI has failed because it couldn't communicate with the NVIDIA driver. Make sure that the latest NVIDIA driver is installed and running.
Prerequisites: Everything was fine yesterday, I didnt install any drivers or updates
A problem: I have bad screen resolution 640x380
Current OS is: Ubuntu 20.04.1 LTS
GPU: geforce gtx 1080
nvidia driver is: 455
cuda is 11.1: but i didnt touch any settings related to it more than a few weeks, so it couldn`t affect it, because i switched on and restarted my PC for many times after installing it and there is not any problems
What I have done to try to fix it:

1)
sudo apt update -y
sudo apt upgrade -y
sudo reboot now
2)
sudo prime-select intel
sudo prime-select nvidia
# i didnt have /lib/modprobe.d/blacklist-nvidia.conf
# so i wasnt able to delete it
sudo update-initramfs -u
sudo reboot now
3) I have disabled the security boot in my bios
4) Tried to install again, but it was written: "I have the latest version"
sudo ubuntu-drivers autoinstall
Any thoughts?
