so basically i recently downloaded kali-linux and went through all the process of enabling everything that it required. After i created my account on linux(here) it automatically logged me in the issue is that when i put in any command it asks for my password. I am sure its the correct password but i literally copyed and pasted it on there, not only that but i even switched to only number and still not working pls help i want to run nmap on it.

Basically, the default username and password for Kali Linux is that kali, and the default password is that kali.
from google "kali password"

If this doesn't work double check you're using correct keyboard layout.

Moved to Kali

Then this means you have set up a new user account? if so you have also set a password right?
yes i literally copied and pasted the password multiple times. but at the same time its impossible for me to know if im putting it correctly because its not even showing the (*)

Copied from where?
When you created the new account did you type-in the new password or did you copy\pasted it from somewhere?
Which keyboard layout was set then and which keyboard layout is it now?

i never got to set a password inside kali linux because right when i made the acc here i automatically recognized my username. i have all my passwords saved on rave and i copied from there. i never got to set up the keyboard layout in kali bcs again once i downloaded the app it automatically logged me in.

You first said you made a new account (when I asked you) but now you're saying you didn't make it.

Since you contradict yourself the only option from me to you is to please use default username\password to create a new account and delete current one.

Sounds to me you might have Autologin enabled - see this article

also you can try to find your password
cat /etc/passwd
try this to reset password
su passwd root
