Password protected HHd ?

hi im very very new to Linux im looking to partition my hhd with having the partition password protection,my hdd is my second and the the install . would to be happy with any help offered but again only just started using Linux days ago .

Is there a particular Distribution (Distro) of Linux you are planning to use, eg Linux Mint, Ubuntu, Fedora or other?

Also tell us something about the computer system you have. Brand name and model, whether it has Windows 7 8 or 10 on it.

Do you wish to dual-boot with Windows or use totally Linux?
