Possible to Linux distro on a moto g power 2022?

Hi!
Sorry if this is a question i could have figured out elsewhere- every time i search how to put a linux os on a phone i come up more confused. Is it possible to put a linux OS on a moto g power 22? and/or what would the best OS be for this type of phone for a new person who needs extra security?

PS i thought i'd heard that rooting a phone is a security risk if you dont know what you're doing. but it seems like most times booting an OS requires this?

got it. looked more into it again- it's looking like this specific model has no particular distros that work with it anyhow. I realize this is a linux specific site, but would there be any advice i could ask about keeping this phone secure as possible until im able to do something else?
I currently use brave browser, I dont keep sensitive info on the phone. i dont log into anything on the phone unless i have to. i have no google accounts. i download apks from other trusted sources that arent google play, and i only do that if completely necessary (work apps for example) . I have had an extremely persistent stalker for multiple years now. I dont think this person has gotten into the new phone. i dont think they know my new number. i dont think they realize ive switched phones/sim card/ service provider altogether. but theyve gotten into two or three OTHER phones in the past. my laptop is the only thing im sure of being secure.
apologies again just trying to make sure ive done/tried/secured everything that i can.
