Trying out some new Linux VMs today. I haven't used Kali in a couple of years, I thought I would take a look.
I can't remember the last time I tried Puppy. Of course I use Fedora quite a bit, nothing new here.
I had a consulting gig a few years back that was big SuSE shop. But again, it' been a few years for that one too.

All of these are fairly easy to install. Some people say Arch is easy to install. I would disagree. If you're experienced,
it's not so bad. If you're a newbie, I still say it's more difficult to install than most. Once you get it up and running, it's
really about the same as the others. I finally deleted my Ubuntu instance, I didn't mind Ubuntu, I was just out of hard
drive space and RAM, so something had to go.

As an aside, it's a bit amusing how Red Hat or Ubuntu get heat for being a business but everyone ignores SUSE.

True, but even so. I think it's a very under-rated distro. It takes a little getting used to, but it's not bad at all.
It uses something called Yast2, but even that it is pretty easy to use.

I ran openSUSE for quite a while.

Suse is a significant contributor to the linux kernel ... not as much as Red Hat, but quite substantial as outlined here:

And? If anything, that means folks should shade at RH even less. They all three contribute a ton, some less than others but still a ton. Heck, I'd like to see that chart with MSFT's contributions included in it.

Any contribution greater than zero should be applauded, as far as I'm concerned.
