it means its doing something but if you want to stop it for any reason ctrl + C will do that.
Ctrl + C is a common command to stop a lot of things. So what were you doing ? running fsck or clamav or some other daemon ?

keyboard is not working. an _ is blinking

Raman, don't keep trying to get help in a Conversation - we can't do 1 on 1 mentoring - keep it to the Forum please.

Give us the specifications including model number for your HP laptop and someone will likely try to help.

and that blinking curzor is at boot up black screen and doesn't get to desktop ?

so basically it can't boot. As i remember you had Windows 7 on that HP which came out circa 2011 but can't remember the year or if it was 64 bit 32bit.

One thing about slackware is that it doesn't automatically boot to a desktop so if there is an error with X11 Desktop manager etc you can always play from the command line because you have system up and something to work on. A back screen of death isn't a good starting point.

Lets see what others come up otherwise myabe back to first principles Live OS on USB see how it plays with hardware, and install in which case maybe start with Mint install time shift then you have something to work from

yes it had Windows 7 on that HP which came out circa 2011. it was distributed by our government to the school students freely. it is 32 bit. many students in my state are having this laptop.

..........firmware failed to load rtl.......
after few seconds it is hanging on

A computer produced in 2011 is probably 64-bit, even though your Windows may have been a 32-bit version. Companies making computers did this to save money.

I would guess your problem is a graphics issue. I've had plenty of similar problems with Debian before. I would suggest installing Debian Live + non-free version because it includes many proprietary drivers that are not included with the standard Debian. Video and wireless internet have both been a lot of trouble without the needed drivers.

You can download direct from Debian at these links below. Pick the Desktop Environment that you like, but if you do not have much RAM, I would discourage Cinnamon, Gnome, and KDE. The other versions are lighter and probably better for an older computer.

What do you mean by "Cannot delete files".
1. You cannot delete some specific files.
(OR)
2. The drive is not formatting.

yes , i have an usb in which i have bootable debian 10.5 netins file , i want to delete those files and want to burn Bodhi Linux in USB to make a bootable usb of Bodhi linux.

guess there may be some "write" protection on usb post burning using rufus or whatever etcher ? if you have access to gParted with linux root permission that should allow you to wipe clean the usb, format to fat32 and start again.

if i get a chance will try and see if Bodhi will boot with ventoy

Okay. That is simple. Use any USB Disk Creator. I personally prefer "Rufus". Just insert that USB follow the steps. Even if the USB has files they will be deleted (formatted) and the new ISO will be written for booting.
