So I've backed up my all my files onto a microsd card and before I begin deleting things I'm just looking for some suggestions. I'm down to 22gb of disc space. But yeah, good morning everyone........
You may want to invest in an external hard drive so that Timeshift can place all of your systems snapshot's there. So I've backed up my all my files onto a microsd card and before I begin deleting things I'm just looking for some suggestions. I understand. Then I'll be right to delete all those snapshot's that are taking up space right??You may want to invest in an external hard drive so that Timeshift can place all of your systems snapshot's there.
Otherwise, (soon) you'll get the out of disk space message every-time your system boots.
Yes.I understand. Then I'll be right to delete all those snapshot's that are taking up space right??
That is not unusual....in fact that is now viewed as a tiny amount of space used. For a comparison, my Timeshift currently uses around 85GB of space on my external drive.....but....my external has 1 TB of space that can be used, so all is good. It's all relative. If you have a bigger external drive then everything is okIn the beginning I had 29gb of free space now I'm down to 22.
Good to hear. When you get it, you will need to change where the Timeshift snapshots are stored. I will explain in the next answer down.....But I am investing in a external hard drive.
click on Timeshift...password....it opens......click on Settings..You asked if snapshots are being saved to the main drive, idk.
I have mine set to keep the set up scan plus 3 others in my case the last 3 days,as i back up once an day. I don't understand why I would need all those snapshots.
