Started up a ubuntu 20.04 lts on a VM with a GUI. Despite allocating 30gb to the VM I constantly was getting warnings that my storage was running out even though I had 12gb available of the 30gbs (from what I could see on vmware). I restarted to machine and the GUI wasn't loading but I could still SSH into the server and strangely my Minecraft server container wouldn't start. I then ran the "df -h" command and this is what I received:

I then realized when I added storage it was unallocated. When I tried to resize sda5 it said, "error resizing partition /dev/sda5: Failed to set partition size on device '/dev/sda' (can't have overlapping partitions.) (udisk-error-quark, 0)"

How do I resize this partition?

I use gparted Live to resize my partitions.

Do you have more room now and the error went away?
