Second Monitor IMAC - Pop Os

Hello guys,

I'm a little noob on linux. I have a IMAC 2009 with a mini dvi port. I bought a mini Dvi - HDMI adapter to use the imac as a second monitor but my laptop (windows 10) dont recognize the hdmi. I dont know if is the cable.. i reboot 3 times both pc and nothing. I have POP OS on the Imac and windows 10 on Lenovo laptop and i wanted to play some games with the imac in second monitor. Can anyone help me? BTW i'm a noob on linux so i will be welcome if there is some terminal phrases only to copy paste on terminal TY

Btw the laptop is a AMD and the imac is intel..i hope it helps
